Hospital Association names new vice president
CONCORD – The New Hampshire Hospital Association and the Foundation for Healthy Communities welcomes John Clayton, of Manchester, NH, as its new Vice President of Communications.
“John will be a great addition to both organizations in helping us tell the story about the excellent work being done throughout the healthcare community on behalf of the patients and communities served by our member hospitals and partner organizations,” said Steve Ahnen, NHHA president.
John served as a journalist and writer for the New Hampshire Union Leader, most recently authoring a weekly column, "In the City," which chronicled the history of the city and people of his hometown of Manchester, NH. John has a distinguished career in journalism and public relations in the field of higher education, but he also served a stint in public relations at Memorial Hospital in Nashua early in his career. John has also covered presidential politics and more on local and national television.
Hospitals have been collaborating through the New Hampshire Hospital Association since 1934. The association's mission is to provide leadership through advocacy, education and information in support of its member hospitals and health care delivery systems in delivering high quality health care to the patients and communities they serve.
The Foundation for Healthy Communities is a non-profit partnership involving hospitals, physicians, health plans, home care agencies and other organizations working to improve health in our state. The Foundation’s mission is to improve health and health care delivery in New Hampshire.
