NH health facilities reach prescription assistance milestone (7/13/04)
Nineteen of the state's Medication Bridge sites have reached or surpassed the million-dollar mark in the value of the prescription medications they've provided to low-income patients at no cost through drug companies' patient assistance programs.
Foundation president Mike Hill honored those present at the July meeting of the Medication Bridge site representatives with certificates marking their accomplishment.
Since the program started keeping records in January 2001, Medication Bridge has served 16,000 clients across the state with more than $70 million worth of prescriptions. About 55 percent of those clients are under 65 years old, proving that seniors are not the only people who have trouble getting and paying for the medication they need.
The 19 Medication Bridge sites honored are:
Ammonoosuc Community Health Center
Cheshire Medical Center
Concord Hospital
Coos County Family Health Center
Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic, Concord
