The Foundation for Healthy Communities recently honored Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center with its Innovators Award at the New Hampshire Hospital Association and Foundation for Healthy Communities Annual Meeting at the Mount Washington Hotel and Resort in Bretton Woods.
The Foundation for Healthy Communities Innovators Award celebrates extraordinary ingenuity, creativity and skill in improving health or healthcare access, delivery or quality. Recipients are honored for extraordinary individual achievement, or for leadership in groundbreaking collaborative research and development work that advances health or healthcare access, delivery or quality.
“Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center is a strong leader in improving the quality of care it provides to its patients,” said Mike Hill, President of the Foundation for Healthy Communities. “The addition of quality data on its web site emphasizes the tremendous effort being made on that front.”
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center’s web site, www.dhmc.org, displays specific aspects of the care with the intent of using that information to make positive changes throughout the institution. DHMC’s goal is to provide consumers with good information to make informed decisions about their health and health care and provide accurate data on the quality and costs of the services they provide.
The Foundation for Healthy Communities is a nonprofit corporation that exists to improve health and healthcare through the creation of partnerships with health providers and other organizations in northern New England.
