The NH Public Health Association will present “Taking the Pulse of Public Health: Monitoring the Vital Signs” on October 20, 2005 at the Waterville Valley Conference & Event Center in Waterville Valley, NH.
The theme of the forum will be cardiovascular health. A slate of prominent speakers will examine various factors that have an impact on cardiovascular health and will discuss such topics as childhood obesity, cardiovascular health among women, links between mental illness and cardiovascular health, and environmental impacts. Among the presenters will be Beth Wheeler, Community Health Coordinator for the Foundation for Healthy Communities, to discuss her Community Prevention and Treatment Initiative work in several New Hampshire cities and towns.
